Bunting

This weekend, I was buried under 102 yards of triangles, also known as bunting, for "Brief Encounter".  Some are dyed, some are patchwork, some are old clothes, but the majority of the fabrics were from the Fabric Warehouse in Rahway, JoAnn Fabrics, and my stash.

the designer wanted a homemade feel, so the triangle were cut out with pinking shears.  The dyeing I did in my sink, not using proper dyeing procedures, so I could get some spotting, the twill is zigged on, using colored thread. The sizes of the triangles are varied too.

Between the shopping, dyeing, cutting, and actual sewing, it took about 22 hours.

I lost track of how many triangles it took.  Let's just say...a lot!
