When I was a small girl, seeing movies on the Jersey Shore, I knew I wanted to work with the costumes. I didn't know what it was or how that all worked, I just knew THAT, whatever that was, was for me. (Yes, I'm a born and bred Jersey Girl.)
I love what I do. ( It's rare, I know. ) Problem solving is one of my favorite things. I research constantly, to make sure I'm up with new techniques. I've worked with celebrity before, so I know the needs that go along with that. 10 actors out, 6 to cover?A normal day at Motown, the Musical. A call that morning to put a new person in the show? Did it on Come From Away. (It's also the "New Normal" in the current landscape) What can I say? I like a challenge and am always dedicated to the project. If I can juggle 5 productions of Come From Away, you know I'm very organized.
This portfolio showcases some of my making stuff. I have a bunch of other projects that I still need to write up.
More importantly, I believe in kindness and empathy. In my personal life, I am a craftivist, working with groups such as Relief Crafters of America, Knit for a Unique Fit and Project Linus. I have a vision of this world and maybe my small steps can help make that happen.
