Nick Cave Doll

In July of 2005, inspired by the Bongwater song Nick Cave Dolls, I made for my beau a Nick Cave doll.


This was my research.

Here is his face.  I wanted it to have a folk doll feel.  I used an old wig to make his hair and painted his clothes.

It has held up well.  Here, the doll holds Ann Magnuson's 2016 release "Dream Girl' (She was the frontperson for Bongwater).  Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking and gave him a Red LEFT Hand.  (Always double and triple check your work!)

Gold Lame' Shirt

Recently, I was commissioned to make a gold liquid lame’ shirt for Unloveable,  a Smiths tribute band.  I was sent this research. 

 

This was for their first performance (4/22/2018)
