The Story Forge Podcast
On March 27th, I was interviewed for The Story Forge about how Broadway is shut down for the Covid-19 Pandemic, my career and craftivism. The day the interview came out was the day that we officially found out that (currently) we are dark until June 7th.
This has been where I have been spending a lot of time lately--my home studio. I have made a lot of masks, both for the medical field and civilians, who were kind enough to donate to Relief Crafters. I have pivoted back to making blankets for Project Linus, which will be a separate post. Be forewarned: It will be very picture heavy!

What does a Wardrobe Supervisor do?
Back in December of 2018, I did an interview with Alina Sergachov, a graduate folklore student at Memorial University of Newfoundland working on an occupational folklife project about theatre.
The goal of her project is to raise an awareness of the general public about different career options in the theatre. It takes the work of many people to create a theatre performance, but most of them don't get recognition. People always ask children what they want to be when they grow up. However, most of the kids don't know about the existence of various theatre career options such as dramaturges, child guardians, stage managers, flypeople, fight directors, set and prop builders, stagehands, lighting designers, etc. How can you aspire to a career one doesn't know exists?

Under The Poppy
Look at me, getting quoted about dressing!
Under The Poppy
Kathe Koja is a writer that I have enjoyed for almost 2 decades.
" Under the Poppy is a brothel owned by Decca and Rupert. Decca is in love with Rupert but he in turn is in love with her brother, Istvan. When Istvan comes back to town, louche puppet troupe in tow, the lines of their age-old desires intersect against a backdrop of approaching war."
