August 2010 dress project

The pattern. I'm doing a version of the pink one, without sleeves, and lining the skirt.

The Fabric.                    

The skirt of the dress.  The hem will be hand sewn, probably to some movie I don't really need to pay attention to.                             

When joining patterned bodice pieces, try to lay them accurately together, so that the pattern is continuous.  Yes, I did have to recut.  But, it's worth it!

The dress.  There's boring stuff, like the side snaps, which is what the pattern calls for and hemming.  But the big thing I need to do is correct the armscyes. (Armscyes are armholes, in case you didn't know.)
